Terms and Conditions
This is a legally binding contract between the owner of Hot Dog Haven Holidays and the holiday guest (also referred to as “you”). The contract comes into existence when payment is received and a booking confirmation is issued to the holiday guest.
- Age and Responsibility

- Eligibility: The holiday guest must be over 18 years of age.
- Party Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring all members of your holiday party accept and adhere to these terms and conditions.
- Arrival and Departure Time

- Arrival: The owner will make every effort to ensure the caravan is ready for check-in at 4pm.
Please do not enter the caravan before 4pm, as cleaning and maintenance may still be in progress.

- Departure: The property must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
- Late departures will incur an additional charge.
- Keys: Information regarding keys and collection procedures will be provided via email on the day of arrival.

- Parking

- There is allocated parking directly opposite the caravan.
- Please Note: Do not park on the grass beside the caravan; only use the designated parking in front.
- The small road outside the property is a one-way system that must be strictly adhered to.

- There are two allocated parking spaces on the gravel driveway in front of the caravan.

- Number of Guests
-
- Maximum Occupancy: The property is limited to a maximum of 8 guests.
- If more people than agreed are found to be using the property, it will be considered a breach of contract.
- In such an event, the holiday guest and their party will be asked to leave immediately without any refund.
- Sub-letting: Sub-letting or assignation of the let is prohibited.
- Maximum Occupancy: The property is limited to a maximum of 8 guests.
- Dogs

- Requirements: Dogs must be house-trained, and the number must not exceed what was agreed at the time of booking. If you would like to add an extra dog to your booking, please make a request to the owner before your stay.
- Supervision: Dogs must not be left unaccompanied in the property, unless they are settled and in a crate (crates are not provided by the owner).
- Furniture: Pets are allowed on the sofas (please use the throws provided). Dogs are not allowed on the beds unless you bring your own bedding. The main bedroom & sofa bed requires double bedding and the twin rooms requires single bedding (fitted sheet, duvet cover, and pillowcases).
- Liability: You are liable for any damage caused by your pet(s), and an additional cleaning charge may apply. This includes but not limited to urine stains to carpets, pet hair / urine stains to owners bedding, damage from chewing/scratching.
- Safety and Cleanliness:
- The owner is not responsible for any accident or injury to a pet during your stay.
- You must respect the property, veranda, and park by picking up any dog litter immediately. Urine cleaner is left under the sink for the guests to use whist staying at the property.
- Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times around the park.
- Smoking & Vaping

- Strictly NO SMOKING.
- Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the property or on the veranda. Smoking is a significant fire risk, which can have fatal consequences. Smoking leaves a lingering smell on curtains, furniture and soft furnishings that is very difficult to remove.
- Failure to comply with this will result in immediate eviction without any refund, and an automatic loss of the £100 bond.
- Cleaning

- Expectations: The holiday guest and their party are expected to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.
- If you have used the oven / grill / microwave etc, kindly clean it before departure
- Wipe up any spillages
- Wash up and put away cups, glasses, cutlery, pans, baking trays etc.
- Empty all bins
- Strip used beds
- Expectations: The holiday guest and their party are expected to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.
Additional Charges: The owner reserves the right to charge extra for cleaning if the property is not left in a condition similar to its state at the start of your holiday.
- Electric Car Charging

- Prohibition: Charging your electric car or any party member’s car from the property is strictly prohibited by both the owner and the park.
When you charge your vehicle at a caravan, you are putting the owners caravan at serious risk of fire. The electric supply to the caravan isn’t equipped for this type of usage/outage.

- Breaking this rule will result in immediate eviction without any refund, and an additional charge.
- Alternatives: Car charging points are available in the main car park and near the lake.

- Music & Loud Noise

- Quiet Hours: No loud noise or music should be played between 11 pm and 8 am.
- Respect: You are expected to respect the quiet of the park and other guests.
- Failure to comply may result in you and your party being asked to leave.
- Liability

- The booking agent does not assume responsibility for your personal possessions.
- Risk: Vehicles and possessions are at your own risk.
- Children: Children must be supervised at all times.
- Service Outages: No compensation is provided for any temporary outage of electricity, gas, water, internet connection, or television service.
- Breakages

- Condition: You must maintain the property, fixtures, fittings, and all contents in the same state of repair as found at the start of your holiday.
- Reporting: Any accidental damage or breakages should be reported to the owner before departure. This gives the owner chance to bring replacements before the next guests arrive.
- Charges: The owner reserves the right to levy additional charges for any damage or breakages.
- Lost Keys

- Procedure: Lost keys must be reported immediately.
- Charge: A £20 fee will be charged for replacing lost keys.
- Miscellaneous

- BBQ’s: Are not permitted on the veranda or near the gas bottles. BBQ’s must be on the grass away from the caravan.
- Description Changes: While every effort is made to accurately describe the property, park, and surrounding area, alterations and changes over time may occur. No refunds will be provided for such discrepancies.
- Property Access: The owner reserves the right to enter the property at a reasonable time for emergencies or remedial repair work.
- Behaviour:
- The owner may ask you to leave without a refund if your behaviour, or that of your party, is deemed unacceptable or unreasonable.
- The booking agent reserves the right to refuse entry to anyone deemed unsuitable or incapable of taking charge of the property.
- Bookings

- Deposit: A non refundable £100 booking deposit is required within 24 hours of the provisional booking to secure the requested dates. This deposit also acts as your refundable breakage bond.
- The booking is provisional until the deposit is paid in full, at which point it becomes confirmed. Until confirmed, cancellations can be made by the owner without prior notice.
- Balance: The remaining balance is due no later than 8 weeks before arrival.
- Failure to pay on time will result in cancellation and the non refundable deposit being retained.
- Short Notice Bookings: Bookings made less than 8 weeks before the arrival date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
- Deposit: A non refundable £100 booking deposit is required within 24 hours of the provisional booking to secure the requested dates. This deposit also acts as your refundable breakage bond.
- Cancellation by the Holiday Guest

- Notification: Cancellation requests should be emailed to: hotdoghavenholidays@gmail.com.
- Refund Policy:
- More than 8 Weeks Before Arrival: Your liability to pay the balance will be waived, however the £100 non refundable deposit will not be refunded. If the holiday was paid in full and more than 8 weeks notice is provided then the total accommodation cost will be refunded.
- Less Than 8 Weeks but More Than 6 Weeks Before Arrival: 40% accommodation cost will be refunded to the guest.
- Less Than 6 Weeks but More Than 3 Weeks Before Arrival: 20% accommodation cost will be refunded.
- 3 weeks or Less Before Arrival: No refund due. The full balance will be retained.
For the avoidance of doubt the booking fee is non-refundable in all circumstances when you cancel a holiday.

- Insurance: We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance to cover any cancellations (moneysupermarket.com & comparethemarket.com offer competitive UK holiday cover).
- It is not the owner’s responsibility to cover any loss resulting from a guests cancellation, including but not limited to travel disruptions, weather conditions, health or changes in personal circumstances.
- Amendments:
- Booking amendments may be requested, subject to availability, and are not guaranteed.
- Amendments will not be considered if the arrival date is less than 8 weeks away; an amendment fee may apply.
- Cancellation by the Property Owner

- In the unlikely event that the property becomes unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the holiday guest will be entitled to a full refund.
- Limitation: The owner is only liable to return the payment received; no compensation or consequential losses shall be payable.
- Complaints

- Reporting: It is your responsibility to report any issues or problems immediately upon arrival, giving the booking agent the opportunity to address them.
- Failure to Report: If issues are not reported promptly, no subsequent claims will be entertained.
- Resolution: The owner will make every effort to rectify any identified problems as soon as reasonably possible.
- Return of Breakage Deposit

- Your £100 breakage bond will be returned within 48 hours of departure unless deductions need to be made.
- In cases where deductions apply, the adjusted deposit will be returned within 2 weeks of departure.
